Finding hope by hearing the experiences & seeing the faces of other survivors!

Our first Podcast will introduce you to some of the basics of our purpose here. I have to smile though because I have the privilege to meet and work with many brilliant people while volunteering to help others. In doing so, we tend to brainstorm and things develop into more interesting and courageous pathways than originally anticipated. Essentially, we will be talking with survivors of sexual assault and abuse and how they survived. Some will be posting their photos. Our goal is to bring the faces and voices of survivors to those who are also survivors but have not found help yet. We hope this will help encourage you to talk to someone and find support during this time.

I am glad you stopped by to visit our Podcast. Although it is a very important topic that many prefer not to discuss, it is necessary and incredibly vital to those who have endured sexual assault and other types of abuse. It also effects their loved ones, job performance (at times) and effects our communities. It is time that we bring the topic out into the light. There is no need for the survivors to feel shame. They are courageous and strong, everday heroes.
It is important to note that this Podcast is not endorsed, approved, produced nor is it authorized by RAINN. I started this Podcast independently of RAINN. However, I am a speaker for RAINN. When I started this Podcast there were a number of other RAINN speakers who wanted to participate in this Podcast.
